Welcome to October Planning!
I discovered Bullet Journaling about 4 months ago while surfing on YouTube. I came across BohoBerry’s Channel and was entranced with how beautiful she made her journals. I watched the Bullet Journal How To Video from its creator Ryder and was 100% sold.
I’ve never been one to use a planner. Usually, I just use my inbox and lists keep me going, but since I’m taking on more freelance work and design/dev courses I was really wanting to develop a system that could keep every separate aspect of my life organized. This one is so flexible I felt it would work for anything I needed. Plus, I promised to spend the remainder of this year trying to be as creative as possible and this gives me an outlet to do just that.
To be honest, my first journal was a bit of a disaster. I tried a lot of things and moving into my second notebook I have a much better feel for what I want and need to track, plus how I want to set up my months/weeks & days.
September was a little hectic due to the move (video to come!) and October I can really test what I have in place to make sure everything is working as it should be.
I’ve realized that I need to have everything as prepped as possible to make myself successful. I have a somewhat complex setup and when I can pre-plan and sketch my content. Last night I took some time and prepped my month spread for October.
I used my Staedtler fineliners to color in the letters and so the shading.
The picture was taken before I did my clean up and erased the pencil. I like to sketch my ideas out first. I find when I go right in with marker/pen I make more mistakes and I know that perfection isn’t always achievable I still like it to be as perfect as possible.
